SPS Energy Eumundi Headquarters

SPS Energy Eumundi Headquarters

SPS Energy relocated to their Eumundi headquarters in 2007 and opened their show room two years later.

Practicing what they preach, their facility has been equipped with energy efficient lighting, ventilation and rain water collection for non potable use within the property.

To take advantage of their location, building envelope and low energy profile, a three kWatt Solar PV array was installed leaving the balance of the roof clear for the addition of a fourteen kWatt array a year later.

While the three kWatt array was sufficient to cover the energy footprint for the front office and showroom, the larger system covers the main administration offices at the rear as well as offsetting other carbon intensive uses such as motor vehicles, air travel and freight.

As the test case to substantiate assumptions made in the Costed Energy Management Package, the property is always being upgraded, reassessed and revamped as and when circumstances dictate.

The latest addition to the showroom is a hybrid solar energy storage system which is used to maintain power continuity in the event of blackouts and supports the IT, telephony and lighting circuits.
